A Virtual Drawing Class
with artist Jessica Yolanda Kaye

As the old adage says, the eyes are the window to the soul—and what better way to showcase your true beauty than with a set of perfectly polished brows? To celebrate the launch of the Arch Realist Brow Defining Pencils, we have teamed up with Partnership Editions artist Jessica Yolanda Kaye to bring you a stress-busting at-home drawing class that redefines portraiture for the modern day.

A MESSAGE FROM JESSICA YOLANDA KAYE
“For some, drawing can feel a little daunting. Drawing is not about being perfect though, it’s about being free. So, I want to encourage you to let go of any expectations and just lean into your scribbles. Let’s get out of our heads, be kind to ourselves and have a little fun! I’m so excited to draw with you today.”

Meet  THE ARTIST

Jessica Yolande Kaye is an Australian artist based in London. Through continuous line-drawing, Jessica explores the way people think, feel and act in relation to others and themselves.

She is fascinated by the fine- line that separates complexity and simplicity in human behaviour and psychology - and seeks to explore this in her process and her aesthetic.

On the face of it, Jessica’s aesthetic is minimalist, pared back. However her process to get to this end result is more complex and layered. Through a rigorous sequence of sketches, she takes complex moments from her reality and works

away at them bit by bit, over time reducing her images to a single line. Always working in collections, her art becomes a form of therapy, and informs a greater understanding of herself and the world around her.
